Welcome to Therapy with Michela. By booking sessions, attending workshops, or using this website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

Therapy with Michela offers:

  • Drama therapy sessions (online & in-person where applicable)

  • Group workshops and events

  • Custom programs for organisations, schools, or communities

  • Resources and insights via newsletters or digital content

These services are not a substitute for medical treatment or crisis intervention. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact local emergency services.

2. Booking & Payment

  • All sessions must be booked in advance via the website or direct communication.

  • Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed (e.g., invoiced workshops).

  • Package deals or subscription options must be used within the agreed timeframe.

  • Prices may vary depending on location (e.g., adjusted rates for South African clients) and are subject to change with notice.

  • This is a cash-based practice, and I do not deal directly with insurance or medical aid companies. Should you wish to claim from medical aid, please get in touch with me directly to get the required documentation to support your claim.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

  • Sessions are non-refundable.

  • You may reschedule a session with at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours may be charged in full.

  • For workshops/events, separate cancellation terms may apply (outlined in your booking agreement).

4. Confidentiality

  • All individual therapy sessions are confidential in line with ethical guidelines and HPCSA regulations.

  • Exceptions apply where there is a legal obligation or risk of harm to yourself or others.

  • Group sessions and workshops: While confidentiality is encouraged, it cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of group environments.

5. Online Sessions

  • Online sessions are conducted via secure platforms.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure a private, distraction-free environment on your side for sessions.

  • Therapy with Michela is not liable for technical issues outside of reasonable control (e.g., internet outages).

6. Workshops & Events

  • Custom workshops will be confirmed through a written agreement outlining scope, fees, dates, and responsibilities.

  • Recordings (if applicable) will only be made with prior consent.

  • Michela reserves the right to decline or discontinue a workshop if it is deemed outside her professional scope.

7. Scope of Practice

  • Michela is a qualified Drama Therapist registered with the HPCSA.

  • Services provided are within the scope of drama therapy and psycho-social support.

  • Michela does not offer medical diagnoses or prescribe medication.

8. Referrals & Discounts

  • Referral discounts apply when a referred client books a full package (1 month, 3 month, 6 month or 10 session package), as outlined on the Referral page.

  • Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with other offers unless specified.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All content on this website, including resources, workshop materials, and written content, is the intellectual property of Therapy with Michela unless otherwise stated.

  • You may not reproduce, share, or distribute materials without prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • While therapy can offer significant benefits, results vary by individual. No specific outcomes are guaranteed.

  • Therapy with Michela is not liable for any decisions or actions taken by clients outside of sessions.

11. Privacy Policy

Use of this website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how your data is collected, stored, and protected.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany and South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of local courts.

13. Changes to Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated occasionally. Continued use of services indicates acceptance of any revised terms.
